Holiday in Ukrainian tradition has always ranked special. All holidays of a Ukrainian calendar year are connected with working life of Ukrainian people. Each of them has its own peculiarities, traditions and rites.

Holiday shift. In case the state holiday falls onto the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the weekend is prolonged for one more day.
19.04 Easter is celebrated on Sunday. The time of Easter celebration is calculated by most Christian confessions according to the lunar-solar calendar. 07.06 Trinity. Great Christian holiday celebrated on the 50th day after Easter in memory of Holy Spirit, condescending to the apostles, and dedicated to glorification of holy Trinity.
